Leopard Hunting In Africa

The leopard is considered by many professional hunters to be one of the most dangerous African game animals.
A charging leopard will leap for a man's face, trying to tear out his victim's eyes with his germ-laden foreclaws, while his rear talons are equally busy on the victims' stomach. At the same time, he usually fastens his teeth in the neck or shoulder.
A leopard is a smart beast. When a leopard knows he is being spoored, he will often climb a tree and lie out on a limb over hanging the trail. If the hunter does not see him, the leopard will usually let him pass. But if the hunter glances up and their eyes meet, the leopard is on him like a flash.
Because leopards are as much at home in trees, as on the ground, you must watch the cover on either side of the trail and also the limbs overhead.
