Charlie Barnes
Born and raised in New Mexico, Charlie started hunting Mule Deer and all other local game and fowl at the young age of ten.
After graduating high school he continued to spend as much time as possible hunting. With a talent in music, Charlie became a drummer and lead vocalist in a country rock band. The band performed throughout the Western United States.
After permanently settling in Texas to pursue his music career, he also spent 14 years as a game manager on a 6000 acre whitetail hunting operation in Tom Green County, Texas.
With his vast knowledge of wildlife, he has guided whitetail and turkey hunters on donated hunts for various conservation organizations.
Charlie has enjoyed a successful career in the plumbing industry and achieved his Masters Plumbing license in 1988.
Charlie is a Life member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He and his wife are active committee members with the North Texas Chapter Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, where he is the Hunt Donations Coordinator. He and his wife are Life Members of Dallas Safari Club and serve on the annual convention DSC-100 committee. Charlie is also a member of the Safari Club International and North Texas Chapter of SCI, National Rifle Association, Texas State Rifle Association, Mule Deer Foundation, Texas Trophy Hunters Association and is an Associate Member of the Boone and Crockett Club.
Charlie has hunted extensively throughout the US and Africa. Charlie lives in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with his wife Winona, their two animated miniature dachshunds and a nice collection of not so animated critters from around the world.
